This series of 6"x6' oak leaf designs was etched into Raja Multicolor slate. Each tile depicts a different species of oaks. The tiles were intstalled in a Master Bathroom vanity backsplash for a client in Oakhust, Ca. These oak wreath designs were etched into variety of visually appealing slate tiles. Each tile was chosen for its color variation, movement and contrast.

This is the center tile "California Gold" which is known for it's contrasting red and green substrata.

This slate revealed a golden sub-layer in contrast to the burgundy brown of the surface.
